What faiths do you support?

We welcome families of every faith and can make space for readings, prayers, rituals, and other traditions that are meaningful to you. The officiant will respectfully hold space for these faith-based parts without actively participating in the practice unless they personally wish to do so.

How does the $50 deposit policy work, and how is it applied to service purchases?

Every booking begins with a $50 deposit that reserves your 30-minute consultation. 100% of this $50 deposit is credited directly toward your final service invoice balance. When you confirm a Virtual Memorial Ceremony ($450 total) or an In-Person Seattle Memorial Service ($1,150 total), the full $50 is deducted from your total cost, leaving a remaining balance of $400 for virtual or $1,100 for in-person services. Booking must be done within 90 days of the original consultation.

What is included in a Virtual Memorial Ceremony ($450)?

Your Virtual Memorial Ceremony includes a 30-minute pre-ceremony planning consultation (this is typically your initial consultation), a customized ceremony script, and a private video room for up to 50 invited loved ones.

What is included in an In-Person Seattle Memorial Service ($1,150)?

Your In-Person Seattle Memorial Service includes a 30-minute initial consultation call, custom ceremony script, and in-person officiation by a Luz Memorial officiant.

Question 5

When is the remaining service balance due, and what is the deposit refund policy?

Accepted Answer

The remaining balance is due at the time of booking a service. Consultation deposits transfer 100% toward any ceremony. Cancellations made 3 days or more ahead of the ceremony are returned in full.

How do I schedule a consultation call?

To schedule a consultation, select an available day and time, then pay the deposit to confirm your booking. Bookings are usually confirmed within a few hours.

Question 7

Can I reschedule my appointment or change ceremony details after booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Dates and guest lists can be adjusted up to 3 days before your ceremony at no additional cost. Ceremonies that are cancelled 2 days before the scheduled date are subject to a 25% fee. Ceremonies that are cancelled 12 hours before the start time or are no-shows by the booking party are not eligible for a refund.

We honor every grief story. Our ceremonies and consultations are designed to include partners, fathers, and non-gestational parents with language, rituals, and space that reflects their experience too.

What if I am not ready for a formal ceremony yet?

That's completely okay. The 30-minute consultation exists for exactly this — to meet you where you are with no expectation of booking a ceremony.
